Rock Rose Apothecary Soap....Samples in.

Walked in to my home today and the Misses had put a couple of packages on the table for me that had come in earlier today. One of those was a sample purchase of shave soaps from Rock Rose Apothecary. 4 scents in all, Lavender Cedarwood, Grapefruit Ginger, Patchouli Mint and Cypress Lime. All very nice scents to be honest, but the Grapefruit and Cypress Lime really got my attention. Very generous samples, all filled right to the top. I can see myself getting anywhere from 5-7 shaves from each. Nice density and very soft soap, almost a cream. Getting ready to try these, but first will be the Grapefruit Ginger......

Monday nights shave and last nights shave results....

Late evening shave. Got a couple new items in today that I wanted to try. Rock Rose Apothecary Soaps and some Nivea 2in1 aftershave (I blame KevyShaves for the aftershave). Both performed flawlessly today as the Rock Rose soap scented with Grapefruit and Ginger was very refreshing and provided excellent protection, glide and very good slickness for the RR DLC SS razor during all 3 passes. The Nivea 2in1 worked very well, almost like a balm and aftershave mixed in one. Felt oily and watery at the same time, but my skin soaked it right up and it had a very nice soothing and menthol feel to it. An excellent shave pre and post. No complaints. Another evening shave today with Cypress Lime scented soap from Rock Rose Apothecary. A very nice citrusy and fresh lime scent. Refreshing and clean but not as strong as yesterdays scented Grapefruit Ginger concoction. Nevertheless it built a wonderful lather in my bowl from a thumbnails worth for a 3 pass shave and clean ups with plenty to spare. Another excellent post shave feel and the Nivea 2in1 is just really an awesome finishing touch. An aftershave & balm mixed in one with a soothing menthol finish that's not very bracing, but gives a nice little tingle. I'm impressed with both so far. Yes, it was a good shave.
