Hey Guys,

I just picked up a lightly used Rex Envoy Razor. Took it for a spin last night and really liked it!

I did have one question that I was wondering if any other Envoy owners could please help me with:

Is normal for the head (baseplate?) to be a little loose/wobbly when tightened down without a blade loaded?

Once I load it with a blade, everything is solid and blade alignment is perfect… just surprised me that I wasn’t able to get a tight close on the head without a blade.

Thanks!

Hi, one of my friend lived the same problem. Its not normal. He reached Matt and immediately problem solved.

I bought one of the early ones when they were first released. Just checked it with no blade and it is tight as can be. They are great shavers efficient yet mild to me. I considered them to be a good buy. John

I used the Envoy during the pass around and did not find the head to be loose when it did not have a blade in it. Short solution would be to add that nylon spacer that is so popular these days. More permanent solution would be to send Matt a message and possibly get the cap replaced.

Thanks guys. Ya, I had a feeling something wasn't machined correctly on this one.

I sent an email to the Rex Team to see if they could help. Hopefully they will since I purchased this razor secondhand.

What is the date code on yours? Mine does the same thing, I thought it was normal.
