Rex Ambassador Carry Case

Hello,
Eagerly awaiting my order of Rex Ambassador to arrive.
As I travel a lot, I need a good carry case to protect my investment.
I prefer something more robust than leather.
I've found two cases that I like:

My first preference is Merkur Long Handled Safety Razor Carrying Case by Khanka
Any one who has Merkur Long Handled Safety Razor and Rex Ambassador can confirm or refute that the Rex Ambassador will fit in a case designed for Merkur Long Handled Safety Razor?

My second preference is the Pearl Plastic Carry Case.
Any idea where this could be purchased in Canada?

I have the Waterfield case and it protects pretty well. It has a full zipper so it completely encloses the razor. It’s leather, but it’s good quality and lined with waterproof material. I travel every other week and I have not had any issues with it.

There is a seller on etsy that sells tin cans with padding in it specially pre cut for razors

Personally, I prefer to minimize the rigid stuff I need to pack. The head to neck joint on a razor may be a little vulnerable if it is just stuffed in a shipping envelope, but in a padded case surrounded by clothes, I think it is pretty safe. Actually, a rigid case is more like to be broken than the razor, and then it provides no protection at all for the next bump. YMMV.

Yes, that one. It’s more protective than it looks and would be a good option if you have trouble finding exactly what you’re looking for.
