Glass can be a problem.  However, there are many soaps and creams that come in glass and pottery.  Bowls and scuttles can break and shatter, plastic with weight in it such as soap can shatter, brushes can fall and break and razors can break if it falls.  I am sure there are many things in you medicine cabinet stored in glass and woman's cosmetics many of which are in glass.  When you are in the bathroom just be careful.

I like the Anchor Hocking glass jars, too. They can be stacked and are not slippery if your hands are wet.
