I have been using a Weber polished head razor in my rotation and have found it to be just a little too aggressive for me with my vintage blades. Do any of you have suggestions for a polished stainless razor head that would be equivalent in aggressiveness to a Feather AS-D2? Razors that I have tried in the past and did not really like include Merkur, Edwin Jagger, and Muhle. And I really would like stainless rather than chrome.
Thanks for the help.

The new razorock Mamba might be one for you.

+1 and it would compliment some of your lovely handles, John. Smile

I agree. Mamba.

I'm curious about the new Muhle stainless, but haven't been able to find any for sale.

The Rocnel DE-P is very nice. Looks similar to the ATT head but is much smoother feeling to me in use.

Timeless is another very smooth feeling shaver. The 0.68 gap is not aggressive and the polished version is nicely done.

Sold my Muhle stainless and really regret it. An absolute great shaver and the build quality was perfect. For some strange reason it appears Muhle stopped production.

Timeless .95 is a very nice shaver as well.
The only ATT I have used is the H1 plate and that is a fairly aggressive razor. I understand their R1 head is mid aggressive but very efficient.

The only super mild razor would be Seygus, probably milder than the Feather

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. A friend here on the forum is going to visit my area next month, and when we get together he is going to loan me a Mamba and a Timeless to try, so maybe I won't have to do a blind buy.

Have you considered trying an SE? Sabre by Blackland razors is much milder than Weber PH, but still efficient.

I was also going to suggest this, but I think John might find the Sabre a bit too heavy and I don't believe he enjoys using SE Gem-type razors.

Yes, I went through a SE "phase" a while ago, and although I enjoyed the experiment, I found that I really prefer DE.
