The only problem with Haslinger, at least to me, is the scent-strength.  I don't have the best sense of smell, but Haslinger's seems very light to me.

I have to agree with you.  If you know about MWF, I found that by grating both a half puck of MWF and a full puck of Haslinger Schafmilch down and combining them pressed into an empty soap tub, the combination provides all of the best aspects of each soap and none of the negative ones.  I didn't like the scent of either of them alone.  But together it takes on a whole new scent that I very much like.  But even more importantly, the performance is better than any other soap or cream in my entire den, which is 54 in total.  Try that out.  I know others on other forums have done it and raved about it.  I happened on this by accident as we were talking about the positives and negatives of each.  I wondered out loud what would happen if they were combined and someone said "Why don't you do it and let us know what you think."  So I did and I was blown away.  When I reported back, others did it too.  Some in different ratios to reflect the hardness of their water.  The group of us then threw some names around and came up with "The Fat 'As".

I'm not sure there was any science to determining ratio. I just went with a 50/50 split and it worked amazingly for me. Our water here is sort of middle of the road. Not too hard. Not too soft. I recall someone else saying they went with 60 MWF/40 Haslinger. I'd say trial and error.
