So I finally got a chance to pick up a Wunderbar. This is my first safety razor made in my lifetime and my first try at a slant. I'd heard that there was a bit of learning curve and I was full expecting to ding myself up a bit, but the shave was amazing. Two pass shave with a little touch up yielded a borderline BBS shave with no nicks, cuts, or weepers (Ok, I did take a little skin off my thumb last night trying to put the blade in). This is truly a nice razor. I'm very impressed. I may just have to start looking at more modern gear.

Thanks for starting the thread on this one. I had Wunderbar in the past and I always moved them along, always drew way too much blood despite how little pressure I used. IB has since yanked the Ikonish handle in favour of the lighter titanium handle. Better balance tipping towards the head. The lighter handle tames it right down to an efficient cutting machine. If like me, you gave this razor up because of the bloodletting, give this version a go, (or lighten the handle) you might think differently about the razor.

Dont own the company or any shares, I just shave with the stuff.

I don't cut myself with the Wunderbar. Feather blades seem to work best in it. After using the Timeless .95 pretty much exclusively for the last couple months, I broke out the Wunderbar the other day. Still a nice, close, blood free shave, but definitely less impressive than it was before I got the Timeless.

Same here. I actually prefer the Stealth Slant's performance compared to the Wunderbar. I hope he'd bring that out again. It's a good design.

I agree, I think Stealth Slant V2, V3, and V4 are better shaverers than the Wunderbar, and I wish Joe would re-release it in Titanium.
