In case y'all ever wondered what a Timeless Razor TRBR35/TRBR78 in bronze looked like with a patina/verdigris, check it out...  It's a work in progress and mostly just the base plate is done so far; I have more to do on the top cap and handle.  Some people just darken theirs.  I wanted something more...  Ancient looking. First details available in this post!

They also sell brass black. Works really well.

That's kinda, well I wouldn't want to shave with a razor that looked like that. It's your razor though man.

I've also had luck hanging brass and bronze pieces enclosed in a coffee can above a small container of heated amonia.

Yeah, straight ammonia will darken and eventually turn the razor black.

It's fine. Plus, it will be sealed with wax once complete.

Just waxing the parts now... I polished the insides back up so as not to affect any tolerances. Looks amazing! Will post pix soon.

shouldn't this be left alone to age on its own, you know sort of show off your mileage?

I tried that. It's a very slow process. And it only darkens to a normal bronze patina... It wouldn't verdigris like this.
