First shave with the Ti II this morning. Another amazing razor from Andrew. Very smooth and efficient--probably even more so than the 17-4. I am very glad I did not trade this. Thanks to those of you who talked a little sense into me.

Paradigm Shaveware congratulations on another fantastic creation. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Glad to hear you think it was worth holding on to. I actually wasn’t going to keep mine. I purchased it for another fellow who invited me to use it before I passed it on. After a couple shaves I didn’t want to pass it on lol. Luckily the gentlemen I got it for said to keep it and he would get one from Andy later on.

Glad you like it Mark.  Was confident you would find it a great piece of kit.  When you do obtain a BBS1, you'll find really nothing between them regarding shave; very similar feel and results to my experience.  Congratulations on your decision.

Mark, how would you characterize the difference in aggression? If you were to put it on a numerical scale, how would the two rank? The reason I ask is I find the 17-4 a little aggressive for my face. I'm wondering if the titanium 2 version might be a little better for me. Do you think the difference is great enough to bother with a switch?

I am one shave in...so take that into consideration. But, my feeling is that the Ti II is smoother than the 17-4 and just as efficient. Others may feel differently.

Sorry, but by smoother, are you saying it's less aggressive? My problem is that I have to be very careful to use no pressure with my 17-4. I can do that and usually get no nicks, but my face feels a bit beat up. Almost as if it was sunburned. That's why I'm hoping for something with just a little less aggression. Is it the ti2 that I'm looking for?

I'm glad to hear it, too. I saw where you were looking to trade, and I have to admit, I was a little bummed.

It definitely has a softer, milder feel. But it gets the whiskers off just as well. Titanium, used properly, is a better material than stainless.

Why is that Andy? Have another post trying to get an answer. Other manufacturers state the same but haven't offered an explanation. Is it strictly a feel imparted that while present has no scientific explanation?

Andy on the topic of titanium. How does this razor compare with the 17 4 as far as scratch resistance?

Thanks for the great work you are doing!
