They’re both fantastic. I bought both and will not be pursuing another se razor, personally

I think I’m with you on that! I haven’t even shaved with my Paradigm yet but after my Vector shave this morning and my upcoming Paradigm shave, I think I have reached SE nirvana.

The Cobra is the original Artisan SE razor and the Rx is the SE version of the Ikon tech or 2011 Muhle R41 so that is why I kept those 2 when I sold off all my SE's..The Cobra still holds its own against the Paradigm and Vector but I gotta say these 2 newbies are sweet

Just finished my first shave the Paradigm SE.  Given my past experiences with Artist Club SE razors I proceeded cautiously.  Maybe the best 3 pass BBS I have ever had!  Also, the finest quality razor I own (I have a Oneblade, Rex Ambassador, and some vintage Gillettes).  I get very good shaves with the Rex and Oneblade - I won't give them up.  I will need to give myself more time with the Paradigm in order to really learn how the best technique to use it. First impressions are very good.  I used Stirling Piacenza shave soap and a vintage Ever-Ready #750 shave brush fitted with a Golden Nib Premium Badger knot.

You are right about this razor really rewarding good technique. The key is to find the direction of hair growth, and shave very accurately ATG. It all comes off without irritation. I find I'm able to shave my neck for example more closely and with less risk of irritation or razor bumps than with other razors. Super glad you are enjoying it.

I would like to try a sharper blade in the razor. What might you recommend over the Prolines?

I don’t know of anything sharper than prolines personally although the feather pro, which I’ve never liked in any other razor is great in this one.

Agree. Feather Pro is great in this razor.

Thanks for the feedback on the blade choices. Did I remember correctly that there is a blade thickness limit for this razor?

Not a thickness limit per se. It works with all standard Artist Club blades. It won't work with Feather Pro Super or blades with wire guards.
