Do you remember posting this, almost 5y ago today?

My how times have changed....for the better I may add.

"The only reason I had a brush was that one came in a sample collection of The Art of Shaving products, and I wasn't doing much more with the Cella and Prorasa solid creams than I'd done with The Art of Shaving cream, which was to get some on my wetted brush and spread it around on my face"
Yes, I had a very steep trajectory in the beginnin. First, 60+ razors in six months. Then 30+ brushes in three months. But once I figured it out for myself, I pretty much stopped buying.

This. Went from entry level EJ everything, to Feather SS to razorock to Wolfmans/Blackbird/BBS-1 in short order.

Brushes went from EJ badger to muhle synthetic to wolf wiskers to manchurian chubby then to varlets/paladin in short order.

My chubby two collections spans all hair grades, but my one and only brush will be my auction winning Paladin for sure.

Ebonite will experience surface oxidation over time. It can easily be polished. It's best to store Ebonite our of direct light, especially sunlight. And exposure with scalding hot water is best avoided.

That said, I have pipes from the 40s and 50s with Ebonite stems. And I've seen saxophone mouthpieces priced at over $600 that were made from the same material we use. I've been using Ebonite-handled brushes for over two years that look as good as new.

Thank you for the insight Ken. For some strange reason, I always thought, that Ebonite would be a very recent material...

Sounds like I give more care to my brushes, than would be needed. I always avoid extreme temperatures and direct sun, too much humidity, etc. but I always do it for the knots...seems like some handles might be grateful for it as well.

I definitely would like to get a Chief or a Sherlock in Jade or Lemon Drop, but no luck on those being available for the past few releases. Any possibility of those being available sometime early next year? I will be out of the country this Saturday through the end of December.

Just reading the posts - several excited members.

Part of the excitement is checking for the Paladin release date, then the photos, then the live event. Even knowing my favorite brushes were not in the last release, I still logged on at 1:57 cst and the "refresh button was my friend".

FYI - I understand a Sherlock in Disco or possibly Purple Rain is a known cure for Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and the morning blahs and ...............

We received the following notice from PayPal this morning. I believe all refunds over that period were for combined shipping or retroactive price discount on the soaps and aftershave balm. Please let us know if you were affected and PayPal does not resolve the issue.

Hey Ken, this really is the motherlode! Should make a lot of people happy, congrats on this huge release. Anyway, I've had my eyes on the Lemondrop, is there any way to tell from photos what size the brushes are? I'm looking for only 26mm but I don't want to go for one on the release day only to see I went after one that is the wrong size.
