The now defunct British soapmaker OSP once made a beautiful orange & patchouli tallow shaving soap that was a simply narcotizing fragrance. I must have sniffed that sample a thousand times!!  Blush  I had but one sample and they shut their doors before I could get a full tub. It was my greatest regret regarding missed soap opportunities. Regardless, I see now that Lisa's Herbal Creations has released a new soap with this scent combo. Perhaps Lisa did this as last Summer I pleaded with her to make it. Nonetheless, I just ordered a tub and have my fingers crossed that it's a winner.  Angel

Lisa makes soap fine soaps.  Please post your thoughts after you've had opportunity to try it.

It’s nice to know that OSP could make a soap that smelled good. Or smelled at all. Sorry but I’m having flashbacks to my OSP experience. I bought his Bay Rum (of course) and Sandalwood and while I’ll grant you that they’re very good shaving soaps their scent is virtually non existent. I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on  Lisa’s version.

The 3 or 4 different samples I had were not weak in scent and the base was superb. But, since they are no longer in business it's a moot point I guess.

Here's the description from the website.

Orange Patchouli: A rich blend of orange and patchouli essential oils with a complimentary touch of agar oud and vanilla accords. (Essential oil and perfumery accords)

I have OSP’s Neroli in the full-size soap, and a few sample soaps and creams. The Neroli is an especially strong scent, and the others aren’t really weak, either. So with OSP, perhaps it just depended on the scent itself…

As others are, I too am looking forward to reading the impressions on Lisa’s version of orange and patchouli.

I actually found (fortunately) a NOS tub of the OSP version and got it today in the mail. What a wonderful scent!!  Heart

My Lisa's version got sidetracked in the mail and is now on "tour" somewhere in Florida.  Rolleyes  When it arrives I will do a SxS smell comparison.

You forgot something BP.  I’m not sure if it was modesty or a good imagination, but either way, don’t underrate yourself.  Wink
