Do you know the backstory on that? Neal from Heritage Collection actually contracted with a Chinese company to build a Gibbs reproduction/homage/clone. That company then used Yaqi, and Yaqi released the prototype razor under their own brand before Neal was finished with the back and forth on the spec changes.

I am still confused when everyone says that Pearl copied the Rex when they were making a copy of the Gibbs, exactly the same way Rex made a copy of the Gibbs!! They both are copies of the Gibbs, no disputing that...

So then why is it that when someone starts a copy thread, usually the convo turns to Rex vs Pearl or Yaqi or whoever? Rex doesn't have a copyright either!!

Rex may not have a patent, but it does hold copyright to the Ambassador as its creator. Copyright and patent is notoriously expensive and difficult to enforce internationally. If an American manufacturer were to produce and market a suspiciously close copy of a Rex/Blackland/etc I am sure there would be enforcement measures taken against the US copy manufacturer.

As demonstrated in posts 13-15 on page 2 the creator of original content that gets flagrantly copied rightly feels a sense of injustice, a wrong. Matt P. let some of his frustration out in his "review" video comparing the Ambassador vs. Flexi. I would guess part of that frustration was that there really was nothing he could do about it.

China does not respect American or British copyright laws, but they make very good copies; often better than the originals.  I just recently bought a Yaqi Romulus, which gives me a better shave at a lower price than the Blackland Vector.  I also have recent experience with Dscosmetic's SS copy of the Mühle R41; which again was superior to the original, and at a much lower price.  Both copies were made of 316L SS, whereas the Vector is made from 303 or 304 SS and the R41 was made of chromed zamac.  The UK & USA cannot compete with China because we have de-industrialized and are beholden to usurers.  It's that simple.  Financial vampires are sucking our economic blood, and the Chinese are benefiting from it.  Should we expect them to do otherwise?

There are many reasons Chinese counterfiters can sell products cheap and its not because of skill or quality. There is a good reason we don't use Chinese materials in construction, it's not quality. You may think that the Chinese have better manufacturing than America but they don't we just charge more because products are made by actual qualified people doing the work. Its garbage corporations that use Chinese manufacturing.

My company does large scale manufacturing of HVAC and Medical equipment and we can't even use Chinese made machinery, they just aren't accurate enough and don't have the tolerances needed, and if we ever bought Chinese raw material we would never get work again.

Raiden Black In my opinion the Mühle R41 is a badly designed and poorly made razor  It has no blade vice, so the blade chatters and you nick yourself.  Also many of the chromed zamac models have a problem with a defective topcap that pins the blade to the baseplate on one side, rendering that side useless for shaving.  I've heard others say that the Z.0 is more aggressive.  I would say that it's simply better made, but it's still a poorly designed razor.  I would not recommend it.
