I must admit I have never had any kind of skin problem even as a teen I had no acne.

So I may have insensitive skin but am not complaining.

I have 11 GEMS and use them all in rotation along with 4 Schicks and a bunch of Rolls.

This is about the GEM's. I can honestly say that all 11 are so similar that I could not tell which one I was using if I were blindfolded. I can use any blade and be happy with the results. The trick is to keep the head as flat against the face as possible. Even the dreaded open comb treats me like a kitten. Every time I shave with a GEM I say "This is my favourite only to find the next one was just as good. I always take the blade out and clean it and the razor's interior after a shave. I then flip the blade over for the next shave,

The Schick's. They are just as good as the GEM's. They are virtually maintenance free. The blade stays in until it is exhausted and then is deposited in the 'bank'.
I have what to me is a new/old and unusual Schick which I am testing now and hope to report in a week or so. .

I just bought a new Ming Shi double edge adjustable
. A beautiful razor at an unbelievable price, I am using the Ming Shi blades with it.

I have never had any luck with my three cutthroats. They bite!

I just gave myself a fist time complete shave with my Kamisori - my entire face and neck. It was a poor shave without doubt due to my timidity. I may get better if I live long enough.

I am trying to catch up for lost time but my bed is calling.

But when I did a price comparison on a good known source for coated Gem blades, it was 9 bucks cheaper to order from overseas.

Yes, Connaught is the best place to get these blades. I think when I got mine, I got 200 for about $35 shipped. The shipping was an unbelievably low $4 or $5 from the UK! I don't know how they can ship something cheaper from across the ocean than across town here.
