Following this as I have the same thought of those 2 razor!

I have called Timeless and they are okay with testing their Razors for 30 days! Keep us updated and do tell what you ultimately choose, those 2 are hard to choose between. If only I can afford both!

I can give insight on the slim since I have been using it extensively for the last year or so

The razor is aggressive with lots of blade feel. I am saying this because I finally figured out the difference between an aggressive razor and an efficient one. The R 41 is super efficient, it is smooth and does it's job and I don't feel the blade much. The slim on the other hand lets you know what it is doing. It is good that it comes in Titanium with a wire cut EDM base plate because the weight (or the lack thereof) helps you to adjust the amount of pressure you apply and the angle you want

Having said that , it just mows down a 5 day stubble like no other razor. Hope this help. Let us know what you end up buying.

On a side note - I am a big big fan of Timeless, I have purchase 2 razors and about 3 for fellow wet shavers and the quality is bang on! You just can't go wrong with whatever you get from them plus you have a 30 day return period which is super awesome !

I prefer the Blackbird over anything Timeless makes, and I prefer stainless steel over titanium.  I shave every other day, with occasional exceptions.  I have a coarse beard, and I'm a one pass shaver.  Blackbird gets the job done, and without irritation.  I also like the Focus Tritok Concave (aluminum), and the Schick Injector (type I-1). Good luck on your journey.

Another vote on the Blackbird Titanium. Bought on their BF sale. Received over the weekend (out of town though). First shave with it today, using the supplied blade. Don't have Timeless razor experience, but no need searching anymore in my mind. Only the Ti BB, the Blackbird Vector SS (and the discontinued Dart SS in my travel kit) will be staying for safety razors. All other safety razors will be listed soon on the BSTs (save for 1 or 2 with sentimental value).

For me, the Blackland Ti Blackbird shaves like a well honed, super stiff straight razor that happens to have a safety bar. It has superior blade control/stiffness/clamping, along with excellent blade feel on the face. Titanium makes the BB a perfect light weight setup for using any pressure needed without thought (same as with a well balanced straight razor).

HTH, have a fun journey!
