The new Tallow + Steel soap reminds me of L&L Grooming’s current formula — quite soft, and there is a texture on the surface after the soap has been poured. Whereas the Grooming Dept soap I have has a smooth surface and feels slightly firmer than Tallow + Steel.

This is good to know, Matthew. I love my legacy T+S, so decided to buy a couple tubs of the new version. L&L is the easiest lathering soap I've got, so I'm confident I'll enjoy my new tubs of T+S when they arrive.

How is saying they had the absolute BEST Hard soap, and although I'm sure this.new formula will be excellent, I was disappointed they changed the formula a troll? Your ideas of a troll are very odd.

I loved the old formula. I didn't want to see it go. I know this formula will be good too, this guy knows how to make soap. I never once questioned that. If someone cvannot say they prefer one thing over another , then what the Hell are we doing here? Lol my god man. Every post has to be just roses and daffodils or What? Tallow & Steel...you make damn good soap. You really do. I've NEVER doubted that. I just don't agree with the changing of t he formula. I also don't agree with the Dodgers signing Rich Hill to a Long term deal, but i still wear my Dodger boxers every Thursday. I don't agree with the NFL slowly taking the physicality out of football, but I still pay for the NFL Ticket every year. I don't agree with T&S changing their formula,  but I still placed a large order at 2am the first day it was available. I'm not a troll.....nuf' said. Lol

Gents, please back off.  I saw no trolling and the member went out of his way to say he thought T+S was a quality soap and that he had, indeed, ordered two with the new formulation to see what it was about.  He also stated that he was not happy that T+S was no longer a "hard soap" as opposed to a soft one.  He is entitled to his opinion and to offer a different take.

I will say, though, that inasmuch as he has ordered the new formula but has not yet tried it then perhaps he could have waited to post his regret.  He may still have felt the same way or changed his mind but at least he would have had first hand experience.

In any event, please stop the name calling.  Agree with him or not about the soap but name calling changes no one's thoughts on a product.

Thanks.

well Having started my daily rotation a few days ago of the new T+S soaps and AS's, I can say they are great, still great performance like the old formula, still unique complex scents. I for one can't recommend them enough, currently Maya is my favourite new scent, it's giving Classic a run for it's money, I'm waiting until Canada Day to use 150 though. If you have been on the fence about these give one a try you won't be disappointed, in the top of my rotation with L&L, and B&M.

Thank you...and I'm sure it will be great. Bufflehead to date has been the greatest soap I've ever had...bit of it was a hard soap is be happier. I was just trying to say that the declining number if hard soaps was sad to me. I just like them better. That's all. T&S was like my go to soap . I used ity probably 4 out of 7 days a week, and I have over 20 different soaps. I just want tto say I never doubted this new soap, just lamented the loss of some thing I considered perfection. That's all. I apologize if anyone was offended.

I never tried the old T&S so i have nothing to compare but I did buy Maya and this is one of the best soaps if not the best soap i've ever used, hands down better than B&M and on Par or dare i say better than my favorite soap L&L. My only gripe would be that my sniffer didn't really agree with any of the other offerings and i was really surprised because i went in to buy Himalaya but i couldn't get on board. As for the soap this defiantly belongs on the top tier of any den. This soap is so f*******n slick that i did my clean up pass with out lather and the blade just glided across my face. I will defiantly always have a tub of Maya in my den and look forward to future offerings.
