New Razor Being Offered?

I was aware of Barbaros.
Still am in fact.
Does it matter?

Razor and finish look really good. Howev,r previous model's reviews say it's really mild...not for me in that case.

I remember Barbaros, but to not even specify the metal, weight, specs, etc. or to explain the backstory on the sales page is really strange. I’m trying to look up that info and it’s not even on the Barbaros website as far I can tell. I guess enough people remember the specs for it to sell out so apparently it doesn’t matter.

It actually matters. I felt stupid, since I spent $250 for 17-4 which had only one photo of his final product.
Now he is doing again, not giving details about the razor nor photos.

Tongue in cheek. It certainly matters to me. But since it sold out, the extra effort wouldn’t have increased sales.

Yeah, but I was his customer, purchased Tatara, Rocnel, Asylum, Thater and more. 
I am seeing a vendor who doesn't wanna spend time for details, photos, and quality control.
And he wants to make money even before he has the razors. 
He will sell more barbaros, asylum, or other items; but I will not purchase from him. 
I can get Tatara from Portugal or Barbaros/Rocnel from Turkey. 
Also many cool projects are coming (Blackland, CG, Yates Ti).

I am seeing a vendor who doesn't wanna spend time for details, photos, and quality control.
And he wants to make money even before he has the razors.

This is an unfair statement. Lots of assumptions here. I have the same razors you have and have to point out that you bought the Sailor which has the same amount of information listed as the Barbados. None.

It is equally correct for me to assume that he provided as much information as he had. Why not reach out and inquire?

As far as the 17-4 incident. He refunded the same day. Everyone got a free polished 17-4 handle out of it I’m not sure what the complaint is here.

I wasted my time to get 17-4 from his drop. But he didn't spend time for details, photos or quality control. I believe my time as valuable as his. 
I was fine even after 17-4 incident, since everyone can make a mistake.  

But he is doing again, no details, no photos, no quality control and selling razors.   
You think he doesn't know details what he is selling; He didn't have any info about his products. I am thinking he is more professional than your assumption.

You make good points. I’m not blindly defending anyone here. Just playing devils advocate for discussion. We’re a small, niche community so a productive conversation with vendors is important.

I'm reading through this thread chuckling at the drama. You guys are hilarious!! Barbaros has been around for a while and this is the second run of this model. All you have to do is Google Barbaros TR1 and TR2 to see the many reviews and comments on this brand and their razors. As far as attacking Phil for the "17-4 debacle" as some are calling it, he handled that with the utmost in class and as many razors as he has sold over the years, he has always offered impeccable customer service. The reason the presale is sold out is because the Barbaros brand has always been outstanding. The TR2 is much more mild than the TR1 from what i remember. I have owned 2 of the Barbaros/Rocnel Adjustables and still own the black titanium coated version. Barbaros is bringing an OC version of their razor called the TR3 to market and I will definitely get one of those.
