Declaration Grooming is scrapping the Icarus and older bison base soaps for their new Milksteak base for those who care. Ruds has a review of it on Youtube for those interested. Looks interesting.

Haven’t watched the video, yet, but apparently Milksteak achieved the highest score Ruds has ever awarded a soap. The old bison tallow base has been a “Top 3” base for me, so I really hope that my eventual findings with Milksteak match those of Ruds…

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Thanks for the heads up. Any idea about dates for the order process on this one at first?

I asked the question direct to Scott on Facebook Saturday. He said 12th October at NOON EST. Nothing about how to order it though. Keep an eye on his site.

Oh good deal I don't use Facebook anymore. Did you happen to get any particulars on the sents available?
Edit: even without a Facebook account I was able to see what looks like, dark fall and massacre of the Innocents, soaps. if I got that correctly.
I'm taking it massacre of the Innocents is a new one.

Yes, Massacre of the Innocents is a new one.

I did ask if TSM Fougere (my favourite scent) was going to be available in the new base? Sadly Chatillon Lux have discontinued it so TSM Fougere is no more.

The "hype" is real. I was one of Scott's early testers for the base and I can echo Ruds's thoughts on it. It is the slickest soap I've ever used and it is very easy to dial in. It combines the ease of use of the bison base with the upgraded performance metrics of Icarus, but dials the slickness up to 11. The residual slickness is especially impressive. In fact, I just used it again today (after using other soaps for a few days) to knock down 3 days of growth and it was an excellent shave. The addition of 3 different milks really amplifies the post shave conditioning for my skin. Even though I used some CL toner post shave, I've found through my testing that any aftershave or balm is not necessary to leave my skin feeling soft, supple, and moisturized all day.

Massacre of the Innocents is a dupe of Parfums de Marly Herod, hence the name. It's an awesome scent that I don't believe has ever been duped in the wetshaving space before.
