Don't.

I'll bet you can post those blades on buy/sell/trade and find a new home - a lot of folks only like those.

If time passes and the Core is getting better reviews, you could always get one then.

I finally opened the box after it arrived this morning. Light, but more heft than I expected. I palm stropped a new Gem blade and it was a tight fit but it went in okay. I am willing to at least give it a try and will use it tomorrow. It won't cost much to send back if it doesn't deliver a good shave but I'd like to at least try it if I can return it if I find it's not for me. Does anyone know for sure how their return policy works? Can the razor be returned if it has been used?

Wait and see what you think and if it works for you. Ill give it go over the next several days to evaluate the razor before making up my mind.

Something like what I have to do to get a good shave because of my coarse beard, but only with 100 touch-ups.  Big Grin

That guy always shaves that way though so it wasn't the razor. He is just a little OCD I think. Smile

I received mine today but have not really gotten to check it out for any defects etc.  Weight is fine but the balance point seemed to be around the lower 1/3 of the razor.

I would definitely check out the return policy before using it. I thought when reading about the problems with the V1 you got the full refund if the razor was not used otherwise you lost some money. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I was planning on  using it this weekend unless I find some defect but I do want to check out the return policy first.

A quick comment regarding blade insertion. I had a bit of trouble inserting a blade early on. It can feel a bit finicky due to the friction characteristics of the plastic: a blade doesn't "glide" like it might against metal. As long as I try to insert the blade straight-on it goes in fine but if I angle it a little bit it can feel like there's a blockage. After I got the hang of it I can insert and remove blades without a problem.

Regarding returns, my recollection is a 30 day refund policy and a 12 month warranty.

One of the last emails says that it is a 30 day, 100% refund policy (less shipping) which to me would imply the razor can be used and then returned. Seems to me I have read of a couple of owners who used and returned the ss models. I am going to hold off using it for a couple of days before deciding. There should be many more reviews coming over the weekend and then I will decide.
