Love that brush!

I received my 2XL from Brad last week and used it for the first time this morning.  This brush is absolutely gorgeous with both craftsmen displaying their talents and abilities at their finest.  The handle is both ergonomic and exquisitely finished with a classic design.  The knot is perfectly put together with excellently sorted hair.



My brush does not have gel tips and there was a hint of scritch in the first use. I wouldn't be surprised, however, if this knot ends up being very soft after a few uses. The density is not what I expected from the XL series, as all of my previous versions were stuffed more densely than a comparable Simpson Chubby. I think I would appreciate a bit more hair in the knot, but I don't feel as though it is lacking. I look forward to the Alibaba Finest and L7 Blonde to compare.

Have this exact brush. I love it! Mine softened up considerably after about 5 uses. More precise I think the knot relaxed a little. It was fully stuffed with lots of hair.

Chris, mine arrived today: It's the same combo of Lapis and a Tortoise (faux) band but in the Alibaba handle.

As beautiful as your pictures are, that combination is even more amazing in person.

Brad and Lee did a wonderful job on this brush-the handle is stunning, and the knot has the Blonde Badger softness but with good backbone.

That looks very comfortable, as well as beautiful.
