I really liked how different this brush looked so I ordered it and it arrived yesterday.  Today was my first shave with it and besides being an excellent brush with a fair bit of backbone, it's just flat out fun to use.  No, I did not accidentally slit my throat with my Gillette NEW (long comb) razor. Tongue  At first, I thought there was red dye running out of the fibers but, no, it was just the red tips poking through after lathering my face for the first time and even more after lathering the second time.  I got a big kick out of it and it was an easy and fun way to change up the shave a bit.  (I'm easily amused. Big Grin)  By the way, the soap is Desmond's Barrow beta version non-tallow shaving soap.

Cool looking brush but my full length bathroom mirror told me I REALLY need to stay married so I'll wait for a while.

Whipped Dog has some nice new additions along with most of the old staples. The look of those red bristles sticking out from the white lather is quite dramatic, indeed. Smile

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Desmond's Barrow non-tallow is excellent.  I believe he is still working on it to try and make it a completely vegan product.

Also, and I could be wrong, but I do not believe Scritchnscrub is selling to the public right now.  That's a shame because his soaps, especially the tallow ones he did bring to market, are superb.  The scents may not be as complex as some seem to want but I find them pure and easy to like.

I have the new grey/white Whipped Dog synthetic, and I find that the large glue bump gives the brush an "unnatural" stiffness.
