There is not much information but I did read that Muhle is launching an R41 stainless steel razor in honor of its 10th anniversary. This is a limited edition and a pre-sale going on. I have bought Muhle razors from the USA distributor German American Beauty out of Florida. I left a message with them and hopefully will get more information. The razor is about 113 grams and length 113.5 mm. The price about $155 .  If I get more information I will certainly pass it on or if anybody has additional info please tell us about it.

I wonder who wrote the copy for the description? I know I’m not usually looking for an offensive wet shave.  Big Grin

“The serration is rather wide in comparison. In addition, the blade is positioned flat. Both make for an offensive wet shave, for which you should have a firm grip on the classic safety razor”

Its the German translation. If one understands German it makes perfect sense.

I assumed there was a translation thing going on. My wife is half German. I understand.

I wish I had the cash for this one right now, but I just splurged on the Stirling Stainless razor. I'd love to see how this compares to the original R41 and the Z0, both of which I have.

I had both the original R41 (2011) and the R41 (2013). Also had and sold the ZO. The ZO aggressiveness was 10/10 . The 2011 R41 also 10/10. The R41 2013 about 7,8/10 so I am expecting the SS R41 to be in the same range. The Stirling SS HA plate is about 9/10. Actually the iKon Tek is about 9/10 and shaves almost identically to the Stirling but much cheaper to own.

This is a crazy hobby for some of us.  Rolleyes  The only Muhle I've got/had is the 2011 R-41. I've had it at least four or five years, purchased second hand, and shaved with it maybe 3 times.

Yet I'm considering buying this SS version. I need to shave with 2011 again to refresh my memory. Its reputation proceeded it, so I was extremely careful and had no nicks or cuts, and that with a Feather, or something equivalent. I only use ultra sharp blades.
