Mozingo Sumohive

Mozingo Sumohive w/26mm Maggard SHB bulb...I had an idea for a Sumo with beehive grooves and Brett Mozingo was not only a good sport, but did a killer job.

It’s definitely unique. It’s very dense, maybe even a little oversized for its stated size (26mm). The width at the base of the knot is 25.98mm, so I think it’s a hare wider than your typical DIY 26mm knot. I set the loft at 52.5mm, I think. I have no problems with hogging/lather release. It absolutely devours soap though. I’m not sure I’d want more than one, but it’s a nice change of pace. It’s certainly different than any other knot I have.

Beautiful brush and I have used Maggard SHD knots in my latest Mozingo handles and several other handles. I get the fan shaped ones and they are just outstanding!! Their latest shipment has a slightly larger glue bump so in my 28mm Mozingo, I had to put in a 26mm SHD knot but it turned out perfect!! Brett is on another level than most other brush makers. Love this collab! Congrats!!
