Anyone have one of these razors? They look pretty sturdy and they cost a pretty penny. ($150CAD with basic shipping on their website)

I believe these are made in the U.K.

Seen one on eBay for auction, decided to put in a bid and ended up getting it for only $45CAD which includes shipping. Can't complain at that price, it's a sharp looking razor and made of stainless steel. We will see how it actually shaves when it gets here.

This is what's posted in the description on their website:

This is one the latest Safety Razors from Military Industries.
Made from 100% black PVD surgical grade stainless steel, the Razor is a work of art and is a seriously solid and heavyweight razor. The three piece design is finished in brushed, PVD stainless steel which gives it a very purposeful look.
This is a high precision razor, the razor is perfectly balanced so that the weight is in the head not the handle so you get meaningful feedback from the blade when shaving.
* Open Comb Head
* Length Inc Head: 106mm
* Shaft Width 14.5mm
* Engraved handle which provides a good grip when the razor is wet.
* Supplied in a Protective Box

I had never heard of these razors, before.
Congratulations and I hope it works out for you.

Are these made in Canada as they ship from the UK when I went to look for them on ebay?

I believe they are made in the U.K.

There is very limited information on these razors. Searching the web I can only find them on eBay and the official "Military Industries" website. Not sure if these are new to the market or not.

I might send an email soon here and ask where they are manufactured.

Yes it is 100% Black PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) stainless steel.
Ok you need to find out by asking them directly regarding this. First of all PVD has nothing to do with SS material, PVD is a higher grade quality of coating, many razor companies used them including the Chinese Weishi razor company. PVD coating can be applied on SS,brass,copper, "zinc" etc etc etc.

The reason why I'm asking this is because the head design looks soooo formiliar like the nowadays generic OC heads made of potmetal zinc, if you don't trust me look at Razorock and Maggards OC razors and you will see what I'm saying. If these people charge 150CAD for a razor with SS handle and zinc head then they are ripoffs

Pay close attention to this one, the base plate is identical ( same teeth count and same shape) and this is Pearl razors that are made in India http://www.techichishave.com/all-product...01-oc.html

I have a feeling that that company is ripping people off with 150CAD price tag for a SS and Zinc razor

I have sent an email to them in regards to the material that is used. Hopefully I will hear back soon.
