shave went pretty well! first time using a feather as-d2 with a feather blade. I need to use it a few more times before deciding if the feather as-d2 is for me or not, but I think it'll be a keeper!

does this get the approval of Merkur Man? This is after my first pass (I only do 1 pass on my lower neck as I have a beard):

Is the Barbershop a traditional scent? The scent profile seemed pretty much in line with what is normal for barbershop to me. However I saw someone mention they thought it smelled kind of like green Irish tweed scent.
being a younger fellow (29), I actually don't know what the traditional barbershop scent is. when I was very young, barbershops were starting to move away from straight razors shaves and such. the only scent that stands out for me from my childhood in barbershops is pinaud talc that they'd dust along your neck with their brush.
that said, Mike's take on barbershop is 100% different than Stirling's - Stirling's barbershop has the powdery scent while I don't get any of that from Mike's.
