Mike's Natural Soap

Do you have any more Strop Shoppe soaps available for sale?

Mike's Natural is one of my very favorite soaps and gets no where near enough press for how great it is.

I can't possibly be the only fan of Mike's around here, any one else a fan?

A year and a half and 36 pages of glowing praise later, I would say that is a yes. In my humble opinion, Mike's Natural is one of the very best shaving soaps available and deserves every bit of the praise it has been given. It used to be mentioned a lot on the forums, usually in the Soaps sub-forums. Now it appears to be noted mostly in Shave Of The Day threads, at least that I have seen. A lot of people still use it, which is no surprise given that it is excellent.

Received the Lime and Peppermint/Rosemary soaps.

The Lime is pretty fantastic. It is definitely a sweeter lime to my nose and reminds me of Castle Forbes lime. I'm actually a bit surprised after reading this thread of the stoutness of scent. To me, the Lime was about a 5.5 out of 10 to my nose which is fantastic. Very bright refreshing citrus scent.

The Peppermint and Rosemary was another surprise to me for two reasons. One, was that it wasn't as stout as others reported it was. I'd say to me, it was about a 5 out of 10, somewhere in the medium range. The other surprise was that it was a REALLY nice mellow peppermint scent, probably because of the rosemary and I was really excited after smelling it because I didnt get smacked in the face with mint. I love this scent and its just a spa like scent, very mellow mint, with the nice herbaceous compliment to it.

Both of these are fantastic. My final purchase of Mikes for a while was a preorder of Bay Rum just the other day so I look forward to that one. I'll update the scent strength of it once I get a full puck because so far, I've only tried a sample but liked it a bunch.

I agree with you on the scent of Peppermint and Rosemary. Where this particular scent shines is the nice cooling sensation during the shave.

I just purchased 5 new Mike’s soaps due to this thread. I had coconut, bay rum, and lime. I ordered honeysuckle, barbershop, orange-cedarwood & black pepper, vetiver, and Hungarian lavender.

I thought wet shaving was supposed to save us money!

Most of these scents I just never considered before but I hope the barbershop smells like the bath soap as I have purchased it before.

I have used both and they do indeed have the same scent.

I liked the bath soap but it didn’t last long enough to justify the cost. I am glad to hear the scent is the same though!
