Ok, shaved with the new Menlo this morning and it is one of the best razors I have ever used!!  I absolutely loved it.  Super close 2.5 pass BBS!  It’s a beautiful razor and the head and handle are beautifully designed.  I swapped my handle for a longer handle in use because I prefer longer handles.  The head is nimble and light weight in stainless because of the unique design of the baseplate.  I just used the new Blackbird titanium and loved that razor but I have to say that this Menlo is even better.  Jeremy is not paying me but I do act as a consultant and tester for his various versions before this final production version.  Guys, this one is an absolute keeper and I would RUN to his website when it goes up for sale.  Keep in mind, I have a very large collection of high end razors and this one is up there with the very best!  I would say it falls in line with the Wolf WR2 1.35/1.45 SB.  It’s THAT good!  It’s super smooth and highly efficient.  Here is my IG post below.

As for the release date I'm working right now to get parts machined and polished.  Hopefully they will be released within 2 weeks.  Go ahead and sign up for the email list to get the notification.  I will also post on here closer to when that happens too.  No pre-orders no BS just direct shipping when the razors are ready.  The "sold out" is just because I don't have any stock available yet.

How this Menlo compares to Yates H plate?

I have tried the Yates and the Menlo is on a completely different level. I did not get along with the Yates and that is not a criticism on it. Just not for me. The design and finish on this one is of a high end razor. Hope that helps.

Awesome. It says it's 303 steel. I thought he was using a differemt steel for the first batch. Maybe I misunderstood. Regardless, cool to see we're getting closer.

Will there be other handle designs in the future?

The goal is to always pay attention to what the community wants.  It's really impossible to please everyone with a handle design.  Other handles and materials will definitely be coming in the future.

Can you comment on how blade forward the razor feels, i.e. where might it fall on the Timeless / Blackbird spectrum? (I've never used a Wolfman so Wolfman comparisons will not be that useful to me.)

I heard back from the artisan on this - apparently it's very blade forward. Looks like a very nice design.
