Mühle just introd an interesting new DE razor in what appears to be an effort to lure mainstream people over to DE shaving. It retails for $48 and has what appears to be a zamak top cap as well as utilizing the older style type assembly for a three piece razor. I am intrigued by their head design on this one and ordered one w/ free shipping. Obviously, it appears to be a milder type razor and won't appeal to those wanting an über aggressive razor nor those desiring the latest/greatest artisan razor made from ultra expensive alloys and forged on Mt. Olympus by vestal virgins.  Wink

Regardless, Mühle is a Big Player in this field and some may find it appealing.

Interesting. From the picture there (I didn't play the video, but I will eventually), there appears to be some torque to the blade. That ought to keep it ridgid.

I don't know about the rope at the end, I guess it's for hanging? Might make this an ideal shower razor.

The print on the handle is cool looking. Will be very interested to hear your thoughts on the performance.

Edit: Just watched the little video. I'll be back to watch that after a few beers tonight... Trippy! Lol. The production on that video is awesome. That's worth clicking on the link, alone. Thanks again for the heads-up BPman

I would find that loop super annoying.

As well, the handle is ungainly loooonngg. So, a different handle solves that and the lanyard loop. It's the razor head that interests me.

The razor appears to have a fingerprint reader.
You wouldn’t have to worry that your wife would be shaving her legs with the brand new, hand stropped and corked Feather blade.

Corking a modern blade would be grounds for divorce. It removes the PTFE coating thereby ruining the blade.

Yes.  That’s exactly why I commented.

Only because you bring up the potential damage to the PTFE coating...

What about rinsing it in alcohol... Will the coating be ok? I've been recently experimenting with this on the premise that my hard water may be leading to premature dull blades.

Great. So I should be safe swishing it in an alcohol rinse. Thanks!
