I recently purchase California Barber (vegan) and Field and Stream (tallow). They are both fine soaps worthy of purchase that I would order again.
The owner, Robert Phillips has been in buisness since 2012. I have no idea why more folks are not talking about his products. He has a really good tallow formula but his vegan formula is excellent. I like his vegan formula better than PAA for example. If you have never tried his products I would encourage you to do so. Both formulas lathered easily and presented no issues during the shave.
California Barber: I would venture a guess that most folks would like this scent. A non-powdery barbershop that has a cologne nature to it. Love this scent.
Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Potassium & Sodium Stearate, Water, Bentonite Clay, Vegetable Glycerin, Potassium & Sodium Hydroxide and Fragrance Oils.
Field and Stream: This is not a sweet scent. It reminds me of when I was a kid hunting crayfish in the neighborhood creek. I can smell the outdoors, specifically standing by a river with a nice coffee note pushing through. I can also smell a small hint of lavendar. This soap would be a fun purchase for anyone who longs for the outdoors.
Ingredients: Water, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Shea Butter, Potassium & Sodium Tallowate, Potassium & Sodium Stearate, Vegetable Glycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, French Green Clay, Sage, Fragrance & Essential Oils.
KONA Colada: if anyone has tried this soap please comment below. It is a blend of Kona coffee and coconut.
Finally, I don't know Robert beyond being a customer. I bought one of his bomber brushes and he tossed in a sample of Cali Barber along with a discount code for a future order that I used for the above.
