Italian Barber has a great deal on RazoRock brand leather razor pouches for US$5.99.  I picked one up a couple of weeks ago when they first showed up in New Arrivals and its great for either traveling or just storing a razor in a drawer in a protective pouch.  I thought at that price I'd get a few more but they were sold out.  Today they're back in stock so I picked up 4 more.  For the money you can't go wrong.

It's always nice to have something protective to store your razor in while traveling.

Completely agree- saw these and have not ordered yet but they look like they are solid quality and a great value. Thanks for the heads up Marko.

Update!  I received my order of these pouches today. It was my second order, I only ordered one when they first were offered and I liked it so much I wanted to get a couple more but they were sold out as I explained above. So I ordered 4 when IB restocked. Sadly the restocks aren't as good as the original.  Leather is a little lighter and stiffer but worst part is they're just a bit smaller, maybe 5mm less in the depth. Just enough to make it too tight for your average safety razor and also allow for contact between razor and the metal zipper slider thing.  That's too bad because somebody's decision to slice just that small amount of leather off pretty much renders the things useless.

Thanks, Marko for that update. I had 6 of them in my shopping basket at IB waiting to add another item or so to make the shipping minimum. They will be removed based on that size reduction. They looked a bit tight before and any reduction would certainly reduce their utility for most size razors. Too bad!

You're welcome beamon - its always disappointing when a product is "refined" to the point where it no longer is what it purports to be, philosophically speaking. As I said, just a few mms smaller and the zipper has to be forced with the corners of the razor head straining the zipper fabric and unavoidably pressing the metal zipper against the metal of the razor - bad situation. I now have 4 that will collect dust unless I come up with an alternative use. Its not really worth a return hassle. I'm glad I was able to save even one person from making a mistake, especially since it was me that initially recommended them.

I forgot about these with my recent IB order. I was going to pick one up for traveling. I guess that's a good thing now. Oh well...

With them being leather, I wonder if the old 'shoe stretching' stunt might work. Rig some kind of shoe tree gimmick that would fit inside and stretch them. The shoemakers used to wet the shoe, insert the tree and  adjust it so that there was pressure applied to the shoe. The pressure was increased over time until the shoe could actually be stretched another size larger. Don't know how the plastic liner in the case would fare, but you might try it on one case to see.

Hate to see you stuck with those cases. Not much else they can be used for, I reckon.

Not a bad idea, however, even the leather of the re-stocks is different - the original was just straight unlined leather so a nice, suede-like surface would contact the razor. The re-stocks seem to have some sort of plastic laminated onto the inside of the leather. Not sure if that would stretch. I suppose I could wet them down and see if I could peel out the liner the same way you strip out the inner liner from a military beret so it'll form to your head and not look stupid.
