A few weeks ago I sliced the bejesus out of my finger while stropping a razor. One of the dumber things I've done with a sharp object.

Every few months I seem to nick my right nostril, always the same spot, never too deep though thankfully. And no before you ask, it's not due to exposed blade tabs.

I guess a finger is a common theme. I leave a blade in the razor between uses but with the top cap loosened. While tightening it last night my finger slipped over the corner. Oops.(1.35 WR2)

I had some bad cuts my first 2 times with a cut throat.  I am on shave number 10 now and i only get a few nicks.  Wayyy less blood!

I sliced my left thumb trying to adjust a QShave Futur clone to a higher setting.
The ends of the head slipped out from between my thumb and forefinger, and my thumb slid along an exposed blade edge.
I gave my thumb (and razor) a quick rinse, held my left hand up above my head to slow the bleeding, and finished my shave one-handed.

Now I simply lay the side of the QShave head on the edge of the sink and turn it one-handed.

Confused2 This is probably why the adjustment to a Progress is made at the non-ouchy end of the handle.

I tried out straight razor shaving for probably 60 days or so and I got a few cuts the likes of which are impossible with a DE. Especially a 1/4 inch slice under my ear when I was trying to shave cross grain. Seeing as I’m the type to daydream and get careless I decided that cut was the end of my run with them.
