I'd like to hear what you think, Andrew. I'm not digging mine as much, not sure if it's my puck or something..

Original packaging is veneer thick Ash not unlike some cheese round packaging. You will find a small loufa pad and drain hole. The packaging is lucky to arrive intact and is useless unless you bought the LE scent with a heavier container. The loufa theoretically helps drain water allowing the puck to dry. In practice you wind up with a very gooey loufa pad with the familiar aroma of sour milk. TSN longtime member Mele S Meles posted a scathing argument calling into question the actual percentile of donkey milk.
His assumption is French ingredient lists follow the rule of predominate ingredient listing elsewhere.
It's an interesting soap. I finished off three pucks in both versions. It is drying and the legendary therapeutic qualities of donkey milk were no better than my favoured Pre de Provence with Shea butter or MWF with lanolin.
I'm happy for the experience. I would suggest transferring to a container UNCOVERED with attention to quickly drying between use. Shelf life if I recall is up to a few years so this won't be an heirloom soap on Ebay in 30 years.

It is a good soap, but too expensive.

I might have to give it some test lathers here soon. I'm not a fan of the packaging it comes in so I'll probably move it to an empty tub I have...

I liked the lather that it made and found it to be good quality. My only issue was I had some skin reaction overtime I tried it. Seemed to make my face a bit hot and red.

This happened to me with the Tempete version, unfortunately.

Wasn't sure if it was the donkey milk or the synthetic fragrance. I remember saying they don't prefer essential oils to scent the products.

I began appreciating it more when I really loaded heavily.

Not a fan of the packaging too. I have to lather it on my hand and then back to the wooden bowl after it dries on a paper towel.

The scent.. reminds me of milk with a pinch of nutmeg. I also get a bit of a tingling sensation if I take too long.

It's good though, performance is really nice, but skin does get some reaction.
