I loved the cleaver logo... He should look into having it etched on the bottom point of handle, like you see on brushes.

Karve and the owner Chris are incredible. Oc with B plate is my favourite razor in my small collection so far. I had the pleasure of visiting his shop as I live in the same city. He was very kind, passionate and gave great advice as to what I should try. Im very supportive of this creator and artist and love their product. Plus he’s creating north american jobs!!! I will be buying any aluminum, ss or other options they come available.

I just bought a new Karve razor and while it looks great, I am not impressed compared to my Razorock gamechanger.

What plate did you get? Also, what version (plate) of the gamechanger?

I'm a very mild shaver. I use the B plate but am currently toying with the A for better 'smoothness' (ATG).

If I'm correct, the GC is either .68 or .84... So it would roughly line up with the B or the C solid bar plates. The B is neutral exposure, but the C is slightly positive exposure. It's my understanding that the GC is a tiny positive, probably less than the C? Not that these are by any means all of the forces in play, but it's a rather good start for comparison.

Honestly, I'm just curious what you are experiencing. I had considered a GC many times, but balked at buying it because I wasn't sure the 'feel' (again, I gravitate towards mild).

I hope you find a better shave with it, over time. [Image: e2c21b48b950708e1ebc502f644cafdb.jpg]

I tried the GC .84 and Karve D side by side and while in the smoothness department they are barely distinguishable, The D plate is slightly more efficient for me
