I just finished polishing Karve Brass Razor with Plate B

Handle 3” Gladius Design one of my Favourites and top Pick.

This is done for DFS member here MaineYooper aka Eric and I have one more Karve Brass to be done for Eric.

Overall Fantastic Razor and one of my Favourite Razors to work on and Polish.

Great Job Karve have Done if it’s not perfect it’s simply not Good Enough and I can say this it is meticulously done by Chris

To keep Brass shiny after being polished simply apply little polishing paste and wipe it few times with cotton shirt type cloth followed by silk polishing cloth, shine is brought back instantly and effortless. Apply beeez Wax to slow down patina very light coat and that will do a trick for a while till it starts patina again.

I think the photo says it all. I had a fantastic shave today with the A plate. I'll be using B plate soon, maybe even tomorrow, as patience is not a strong characteristic of mine! 

The stand is off in the background. While the razor was off to Alan, I polished it up with Flitz and a cloth. Now it looks dingy! Lol. 

I am very pleased with the results. Alan, Well Done! It is like getting two new razors and rediscovering an old friend all at the same time!

Looks stunning. How long does it take for the patina to return and does the wax/polish affect the grip

I sanded and buffed just the head on my '46 Aristocrat down to the bare brass, and I need to repolish it with Brasso maybe twice a year.
I don't bother applying anything like wax though.

Patina returns after 3-4 weeks of time depending where you store your razor etc..

Now it doesn’t really bother me when patina returns all it takes quick little wipe and it’s back to it’s shine when polished..

Also bizzz wax helps to slow down patina but that’s up to you if you’ll like to that.

I personally take exceptional care of my razors and don’t mind extra steps to do to keep it in stellar condition
