Why not help DFS grow into the largest and most civilized shaving forum going?

There are two sides to this and I'm not sure there is a right or wrong answer.

In defense of the OP, the tactic other "forums" use is to not allow links to other websites. It drives traffic AWAY from the forum when they want you to stay on the forum. But the strength of the Internet is its openness and creating a CLOSED virtual space tends to collapse upon itself.

On the other side, I'm lazy. Angel  I'm not clicking elsewhere. I barely have time to click here. I see the reviews that some people like Wet The Face  put up periodically, I appreciate them, and might read them. OTH, video reviews Sad I find them too slow and I can read much faster. I have no need to watch someone shaving for 15 minutes.

So, its up to the OP. I'm thankful this is an open forum. OTH, I have no time to click all over the internet going from virtual space to virtual space.

Totally with you on that one. I would much rather read than watch a video, unless it’s some sort of a technical or instructional video (think fixing your phone or completing an exercise with correct form). And even then, people take way too long to get to the point. I usually speed up most YouTube videos ×1.5 or ×2. Makes for much more efficient watching. Smile

+1 on being thankful for the openness of this forum.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Added all SOTDs through November 2015 (another 40+ reviews). Whew. I got this down to a science now, but it's taking a while.

Because, like I said... If I'm going to migrate 2-3 years of almost daily SOTD/review posts, I'm doing it once - and it'll be on my site. I don't have the time or energy to convert to yet another format (BBCode) and post here, along with a photo. As much as I'd love to, it just ain't happening. See also, top of this post.

I now have all SOTD/reviews through September 2015 migrated... Still the rest of 2015 to go!

Also, I don't know if y'all saw this, but I put together The History of Barrister and Mann which also details all soaps/scents including release date, status and scent notes/description!

You might want to correct the ingredients of the White Label, since "nicotiana tabacum (tobacco) absolute, thymus vulgaris (thyme) oil, jojoba oil, betula alba (birch tar) oil, juniperus oxycedrus (cade) oil" are (were) specific to Roam. You could just leave "fragrance" (cc Barrister_N_Mann )

Also, you could update the description of the Beaudelaire fragrance based on the 2016 official product description.

Good catch; yeah, I grabbed the ingredients of Roam by mistake. I just went with Unscented instead. Also updated the Beaudelaire description.

I've updated the B&M history page with links to reviews, colorized the entries based on status and did some assorted cleanup.

Also, added SOTD/reviews of five discontinued soaps under #BarristerWeek - which continues tomorrow with three more!

Indeed. It would take but little effort to mirror the reviews here. Blogs and forums need not be mutually exclusive. Besides, the reviews would have a much larger audience that way.

By the way, that blog is a fine effort. Well done!
