Do any of you all know of anyone who could take two brush knots and make a hybrid out of the two?

I wish that was do-able. Without getting technical, knot shape is determined when the hairs are first bundled together before being glued in place. Once that's done, the only way to alter the shape of the crown would be to somehow trim the tips, which would ruin the brush.

The better option would be to send the brush to a competent maker who would drill out the existing knot and replace it with a new one.
