I had to fight through around 4 site crashes to get my VoF set ordered. It was 60 sets and sold out in approx. 4 minutes, but the same happened with Holy Black and there were hundreds of sets. I think it's the community creating the Hype themselves, but at least Talbot and CB limited it to only 1 set per person (plus it was only 30$ for an entire set w/ some proceeds going to charity) and anyone who tried ordering multiples got their order cancelled. I can appreciate that, especially seeing all the Lav Creep gougers!

West Coast Shaving "had" Talbot's newest flavor in stock today at approx. 6AM PST for about a minute before being sold out. As well, sales were limited to one per person. I managed to get an order processed through all the rush. I hope it took.  Confused  That said, I don't know that I will go through this again for one.  Dodgy

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Somehow this made it on to my radar even though I don't use facebook. I was able to get in an order which will be my first Talbot. I was surprised that the price was very reasonable at $15 compared with the other high ends. I thought I was taking a long break from buying soaps, but now I have splurged on a few of the new formula's. Hard to resist.

I managed to snag one too, to my surprise, Mammoth soap sold out quicker than Talbot. I intended to buy both soaps, but ended up only with Talbot. I agree with the unexpectedly reasonable price!

I believe the tubs are only 3oz tubs which explains the price.

All I will add is that my personal performance bar is now very, very high after using A&E soap along with the DG Icarus base & SS Uplift as well. Then B&M lured me into buying with their new Excelsior base and now this Talbot that Ruds raves about. These last few months have really been a stellar moment for artisan soap lovers. However, once I think about it I am spending less money as these top tier ones seem to cause fiscal "snobbery" whereas one only wants the crème de la crème thereby bypassing other lesser soaps as simply not worth the outlay.
