I remember watching very cool Russian film called T-34....its centred around a battle-primed tank and that's what the Taiga reminds me of.
It may have its quirks and paint may fall off occasionally but it gets in there and mows those hairs down like a smooth assassin. Smile

Eighteen days total in transit, order to doorstep (not bad from Siberia, especially in these times), will be interested to see the performance of the SS (107.5g) vs the Ti (59.5g). Impressed as before with the fit, finish, and presentation of these razors. We'll done Sergey! Few pics:

Have you tried interchanging the SS and Ti parts?
While I LOVE the Ti version, I was looking forward to see if I could get the SS and create
a hybrid of sorts...my ideal razor weight is around 80-90gm. Would have to get the polished
SS to match my high polish Ti.

Ive never had grip problems on the polished Ti due to its light weight.

I am far more careful with the Sailor, which has minimal knurling...largely due to its weight.

I agree that both Taiga Ti and Sailor 21 MC are grail razors. Both deliver such enjoyable shaves
and feel so good in the hand. And between them they cover just about any level of efficiency or face feel I can
think of.

Ive all but abandoned my Wolfman 1.55 Ti and may have to move it along if things carry on this way.

cool let us know if you try and the parts fit.

Haven't tried any other parts, and haven't actually shaved with one (with swapped-out parts), but I can tell you that between the polished SS, polished and matte Ti that the top cap, handle and locking shaft at least appear to be a fit between all three, and look to be completely interchangeable. I have not tried the mid-plate, base or adjustment rings. YM, of course, MV

I like so much the philosophy behind the HLS
I feared he would never arrive because, as usual, he remained in Italy for a month. but the wait has been turned away

Tester28, you have to watch the movie Kalashnikov. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy5jNVIgaUo

My Kalashnikov arrived today. I mean Taiga. Looking forward to my first shave to see how it compares to my Sailor. But it looks great in steel with the satin finish, and seems easy enough to operate.

Apparently FOMO is sufficient....

There is a little bit of the grittiness that Scaramouche and others have described.  What's the best lubricant for me to use?

Thanks.

Any inorganic lubricant will work, but the cheapest and best IMO Is just light food-grade mineral oil.
