My two cents.

I really enjoyed this razor and plan on making a purchase once they restock. My favorite plate is the .69. I'm a daily driver so that one fit the bill for me. The open comb .90 was fantastic and was easily one of my favorite open combs that I have used.

Pros: I love the branding in Russian and serial number. The design of each plate is excellent. The polish is very good and lower maintenance than some uber high polish finishes from some other makers. The guard does not have a texture or pattern so it was very comfortable to use. I liked the .90 plate as well but it was a touch more aggression than I needed. I didn't bother with the high gap plate. Overall, I found this to be one of the more comfortable razors I have used. And the results are fantastic making this razor a green light for a future purchase.

Cons: I found the handle to be a little slippery.

The razor came today in the mail. I had a very close shave yesterday morning with a STR8 so there wasn't a whole lot to shave but I thought I'd use the .90 plate as I heard the .69 is very mild. I put a Astra in the razor as it's a custom of mine to always use an Astra on the first shave with a new razor. Call it weird as I don't use them to often normally. Like I said my stubble was minimal and I also used the Shave soap sample that was inclosed. It's a Oud & Sandalwood and although I knew it was a synthetic fragrance oil that I didn't get any Oud or Sandalwood out of it had a nice pleasant manly scent and I found the soap slick when used with this combo.  So I did a WTG and ATG pass and the razor is still very mild to me and very smooth. Angle was easy to find and I know some have found the handle slippery when wet so I just rubbed a little Alum on my hands and had no issues whatsoever. I thought the balance was good and I got a nice two pass shave with some areas being BBS and some of my trouble spots being a DFS. I"m going to wait a until my Wednesday morning go to work shave to use it again and I'll put in the 1.18 with a Polsilver or Feather and see how that goes. Fit and finish were good in my opinion and the presentation box I thought was very nice.

So all and all a good first impression.

in the old version, the depth of the slot on the handle was 0.2mm
in the new knurling, there will be 0.4mm
it should be more comfortable to hold

Conclusion of Review: My last 2 shaves were with the 1.18 SB plate and the .90 Open Comb plate.
The 1.18 SB plate is a more efficient shaver than the .90 plate, but not nearly as forgiving. I am not used to aggressive razors, and I did get a couple of nicks and weepers. It was a cautious but smooth shave with the Wizamet blade. The 1.18 SB plate had more audio feedback, even though the blade was tight and had no chatter. I did get a couple of nicks and weepers. I attribute this to my technique and lack of experience. In the hands of a more experienced shaver, I think this plate would shine. For me, the .90 plates are the sweet spot for this razor. The Open Comb plate was fantastic. Slightly more efficient than the .90 SB plate. The .90 Open Comb was smooth and definitely had more blade feel than the .90 SB. It was as easy to use as the .90 SB, and I was still able to shave on autopilot.
After using all 4 plates, IMHO the .69 would work fine for a new wet shaver. The multi plate system (with more coming) allows everyone from a beginner to an expert to have a choice based on their experience level and type of shave they desire.
Overall, the Homelike Start is a high quality stainless razor system with many more pro's than con's. I will purchase one when they are back in-stock.
Thank you to HomelikeShaving for the opportunity to sample this razor system from Russia.
Due to the Northwest snow storms I have been unable to get off my hill and to the Post Office for 3 days. Hopefully, I can get out tomorrow and ship the razor to gwsmallwood (West Coast).
Weather broke today. Start shipped successfully to gwsmallwood Thursday Jan 16th via Priority Mail. Should arrive Saturday, Jan 18th.
