I had my last shave with the east coast razor yesterday. I will be mailing to the next person on the list this afternoon.

I shaved with it 4 times. I used the 90 OC and 118 plate 2 times each. I prefer the 118 plate. I had a little trouble finding the angle with the 90 OC plate because it did not have as much blade feel. I would say the 118 is a mid aggressive razor with a little bit of blade feel and provided good feedback. I think the razor is a good value, especially if you only order 1 plate. The main issues I had are the head being a little wide and I would prefer a shorter handle. I enjoyed shaving with it though. I guess the question is would i recommend this razor? The answer is yes. Will I buy it? Probably not, but only because I have too many razors already and probably 3 or 4 of them are similar enough that it wouldn't add anything to what I already have.

Just received the West Coast razor in today's mail. I am planning to start with the .90 SB plate tonight and see where to go next. Overall, just examining the build of the razor, I am very impressed by the workmanship. As some have mentioned though, the handle does feel like it may be a problem concerning the grip. I will see tonight.

I rubbed alum on my fingers and I didn’t have any issues. I think the grooves provide a decent grip.
