Hello folks!

I am new to the forum.

As with a number of other forums, I happen to be more interested to read and search for the info when needed, rather than actively discuss, - so have been reading Smile At the same time by no means reserved for the Q&A etc.

Has been mostly shaving with the G. Sensor Excel (getting DFS with it, and not willing to go for any newer stick), but in the recent past has become more interested in the safety and straight razor shaving and various shaving parafernalia. Partly because of some old hardware that I expected to either try and put to use if enjoyed, or part with.

Not much experience yet, so just working on it.

It’s nice to have you with us, buzzaar. I sometimes use the Sensor Excel as a travel razor, and always have enjoyable shaves using it.

(I must add that you live in one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited.)

Thank you!
Matsilainen: Agree with you on both.
It is beautiful, although such beauty appeals mostly to outdoorsy folk. If one is not able to enjoy the bad weather outside, he has lesser chance to see the beauty (often emphasized by exactly that bad weather and light conditions). Trouble is, these factors are there quite often! :-)
As for the Sensor Excel, yes, I also planned to make it my travel razor if I end up using anything more classical for the daily thing. Its far too good IMO to give it up at all.

Welcome, Buzzar.

With such strong affection and attachment for a specific razor you have, indeed, come to the right place.

buzzaar, I once had the chance to hike all the way to the top of Galdhøpiggen, and the weather was actually pleasant the whole time. Perhaps the fact that it was August had something to do with it… Smile (Everything was covered in ice, nevertheless.)
