To me the end result of both shaves were the same. The difference for me was in the handle which at first glance seemed a little fat but was comfortable. The balance and maneuverability with this handle was much better again for my personal use. Also while to me not as attractive as some of his other handles it was very comfortable to use. I'll get you tracking when the post office opens and I get this shipped as I'm heading to work now. You'll be able to see for yourself in a few days

Received the razor from Dave in KY and have requested shipping info from boilerphan already to have it on hand when I'm ready to ship it out. I have the razor ready for tomorrow's shave and if that shave is anything like the Ti 1.30 shaved it will be shipped out on Monday!! Usually 1 shave tells me everything I need to know whether the razor will work for me...

I took the Ti .83 for a test drive today and it went pretty much as I suspected!! Though it was much less aggressive than the Ti 1.30 it also dropped heavily in the efficiency department also. It took me 4 full passes on my neck as opposed to 2.5 with the 1.30 and still couldn't achieve full BBS and my cheeks in 2 passes still have the slightest stubble. Other than the .83 taking more passes during the shave the only other thing I can comment on is the knurled handle and I just didn't care for it and thought the full knurl was a little too much and can say I actually liked the handle on the 1.30 was better for me. To sum it up, H&S I feel is capable of producing a quality piece but not one that fits my shave technique at all. The shave angle required was shallow and not a lot of wiggle room with that whereas I'm used to using a steep angle on my current and previous razors.
I know most will question my passing this on after 1 shave, but 1 shave was all I needed for the other razors I've shaved with in the last 4+yrs. The Timeless Ti95DC, which I've passed on to another fellow shaver, and the Titanium Blackbird which is the sole razor in my cabinet today as I've not found one capable of shaving me as close every shave out besides it!! I knew from the 1st shaves with both of those that they were for me as it was BBS from the 1st shaves with them and every shave out since. I can also shave either shallow or steep with either of these and know I will achieve an excellent comfortable shave with the steep angle giving the better of the two but at least there is a choice whereas the H&S had no choice, it was shallow only....
I did what I set out to do and that was to give the H&S razors a try as they are very attractive to the eye but in use I had trouble adapting to the shave angle and at my age I have to be comfortable while shaving and neither of they're razors felt that way at all. I do wish them luck in future endeavors and thank them and DFS for the opportunity to test drive the razors. I have already cleaned and boxed the razor up to pass along to boilerphan and sent him the tracking info.

An observation as of this morning, I seem to be experiencing some irritation from yesterdays shave. I first noticed it late last night but more pronounced this morning and it would seem I have as much if not more stubble right now than I did before I shaved 22hrs ago!! This is something I've not experienced in some 4+yrs now since using the Ti95DC and Ti Blackbird...
