andrewjs18 sorry for not reviewing each shave with the razor, I’m not the best passaround participant when it comes to that. I will say I have gotten the best first shave with this razor than any other I’ve used and that includes many expensive razors. I used a fresh PolSilver and The Body Shop Max’s Root cream with the first shave. I used the same blade and MdC soap on the second. I will say the Carbon ++ comes in second place but the H&S is smoother to me. The blade feel is a non issue since I used the lightest pressure with it than any other razor I’ve shaved with. I am a believer in Ti as of now.
Before getting this razor and holding it in my hands I assumed I would not like the handle with it being knurled almost from end to end but it doesn’t feel too rough and take my attention away from the shave. It actually felt nice and the only distraction was when I was thinking how wrong I was about it. Kind of ironic. Maybe it did take my attention away from the shave but in a good way although only for the first shave.
I had two shaves since I usually go 3-4 days between them. A review of the second shave would be redundant since it was almost exactly the same except the distraction with the pleasant surprise of how well I liked the handle. Needless to say I will be getting one. I’m not sure how I’d like a 1.30 blade gap since the .83 did such a fantastic job of clearing the 3-4 day growth. Actually that surprised me too. It did a much better job at that than the .95 Lupo. So, those are my thoughts on the H&S .83 Aggressive.
