H.L. Thater Brush ID

I've done some research on this, but I'm sure there is more to it and chances are good that I am still not accurate in what I think I have found.

Is this a 4425/4 - 26mm - two-band knot?  Also, about how old is it? 

And it indicates that it is PURE BADGER, but would this possibly be SILVERTIP as well?

It is SUPER SOFT (with no scritch) and doesn't feel like it has a whole lot of spine to it.

It’s 3-band silvertip. Some brands label it simply Pure badger. I’ve never seen Thater do that though interestingly. Visually I have no doubt it is silver tip. I would say the brush is back from about the time it got introduced to the wet shaving community which was about 2011-2012 if my memory serves me correctly. That script type writing on the brush is from about then. As to the size that can be hard to say without calipers. It does look bigger than 22mm but it can be easy to trick the eye into making one think the brush isn’t bigger when a picture isn’t taken up close.

To me It looks more like an older 4292/3 Silvertip (4292 series / 3 band) in 22 or maybe 24mm

Thank you for the help - I should have taken a picture of the bottom of the brush also, but all you'd see is more of the continuous black coloring - there is no coin on the bottom.

I will need to round up a caliper and measure it.

Exactly as taking a close up doesn't really help. At least you know it's a 3 band silvertip coming from very reputable shaving brush maker. I have 3 Thäters in my collection.
