I found out about it in this thread from other posters. That’s not the point though. The point is I received an email on Wednesday that my order had shipped for a product I bought weeks ago and as of tonight the Post Office still hasn’t received it yet to ship. Why is that? If the product is ready to go why hasn’t it been taken to the Post Office yet? That doesn’t seem strange to you? Again, these are all fair questions and concerns regarding questionable business practices.

Prediction....You’re gonna get your precious soap..guaranteed. With that knowledge you should be able to have less soap angst during the second half of the weekend.

Lol!

Thanks frenchy. My soap angst will be fine. The fact that you can’t understand what the issue is with a business owner taking money from a customer and not delivering the goods doesn’t surprise me. Have a good evening.

What's confusing to me about these many posts (and threads) is that we all should now know that when buying (or trying to buy) from Mohammad, traditional customer service models (e.g., Amazon, Nordstrom, etc.) do not apply. The sooner we all understand that, the easier it becomes.

I would suggest that anyone looking for a soap because your existing soap supply is dangerously low, buy a soap from another vendor or retailer. At the same time, buy a Grooming Dept soap. By the time the first soap is gone, you will be the proud owner of a Grooming soap...

Call me crazy, but right now I'm more concerned about us than I am about Mohammad.   As far as Mohammad goes, things are very simple.  He screwed up.  I doubt anyone appreciates that more than Mohammad, or is more concerned about it than Mohammad himself.  It should not be any surprise at all that many people are disappointed, angry, and so on in varying degrees.  Nor should it be a surprise that a handful of members are more supportive of Mohammad.

So for better or worse, the soap is now in Mohammad's hands, and nothing said here will get it delivered more quickly.  And going forward, Mohammad will have to prove himself as a reliable vendor and make things right with his customers.  Nothing said here will change that either.

Pretty much the only significant thing that will change as a result of what is said here depends on how well we respect each other, and that respect is eroding on all sides of the issue.  I hope you will take that to heart gentlemen.

With all due respect, I'm not sure that "Mohammad will have to prove himself as a reliable vendor..." In my book, he already is. Sure, his deadlines are not reliable. In my experience, he has delivered. Not within his stated timeline, of course, but he's always delivered. Probably because I have too many shaving products already, I don't really care if my delivery is two days or two weeks or two months. Sitting here today, I'm still waiting, 3-1/2 months later, for a pair of rebuilt Mephisto shoes that were promised within six weeks. Do I care? No, because I have other shoes to wear.

We're all different, but ironically I get more patient as I age, even as I have less lifetime to wait for vendors to perform...

The I think Mo is really lucky that his product is so good and that we are willing to wait for it. If his product were just average, he would be out of businesss very quickly.

For his business to succeed in the long run, he has to get better at delivering and fulfilling his promises and deadlines. In the future, if another artisan comes up with a product of equal quality and scent innovation, Mo may find his business dry up.

I hope he can adapt because the reality of a competitive market is brutal. I wish him the best.

By proving himself as "reliable vendor", I mean one who has stock ready when he says he does, and who ships items sold as "in stock" when he says he will (really ships - not just creates labels).  You are free to define the term "reliable vendor" differently from me, but now it should be clear that when I say

..............."Mohammad will have to prove himself as a reliable vendor"
I mean
..............."Mohammad will have to prove himself as a vendor who has stock ready when he says he does,
............... and who (really) ships items sold as "in stock" when he says he will."

In some respects, I think I feel as you do, but in other respects I disagree.  I'm not worried about whether the soap will be delivered, and I have no doubts about Mohammad's good character.  I am so grateful to have his products, and so well stocked, that I abide the wait calmly.  But IMO the complaints that some people are voicing are serious and legitimate, and none of the reasons you gave for feeling as you do diminishes the seriousness or legitimacy of those complaints.  Nor do I think that because some of us are at peace with the situation that everyone else should feel that way.  And whether they "should" feel that way or not, the fact is that they don't.  Of course, I can't speak for Mohammad, but my guess is that he will regard these criticisms as serious and legitimate, and will work very hard to address them.  He's a fine man, just not a perfect one.

I would only add that I am starting to feel like someone who has said more than he set out to.  Mohammad will be here soon enough anyway.

THIS...This right here is why WE need to be patient.

That means more GD soap for the rest of us who are patient! Wink

Seriously folks, Mo is a "one-man-band". His products are amazing, on that we can all agree. Personally I think he's crazy for trying to release just before the Christmas holidays (meaning a LOT more work for him DURING the holidays).
Mo has never cheated anyone out of a sale. If anything, his customer service has always been top-notch and he goes out of his way to make sure his customers are happy with his products. Sure, there are delays. But you can't compare his shipping times to companies like Amazon, it's just not fair.
Everyone needs to ratchet down a notch and just be patient.

Pitchforks out again I see.  Maybe the haters should look at this comment made by Mo a little over a week ago.

After the next two releases, I'm going to sync-up with West Coast Shaving. Releases will be made available simultaneously.
A fix is in the works. Be calm and carry on.

Pretty easy.... if the shipping delays are an issue simply don't buy. More for everyone else.

At this stage everyone knows he is a one man operation and I'm not sure why there is a sense of oh my when they are sent late.

He has the same issues other artisans have. I can link at least a dozen threads from larger operations concerning delays for labels, sickness, child proof caps and breakage.

Allot of bitching but you still continue to buy.

Take the refund and buy other soaps would be my advice.

Guy hasn't absconded with anyones cash so that shit should stop ASAP.
