Stubble Daddy Shipping begins today. There has been an enormous number of orders in the past 24 hours. I'm grateful, thank you to all the wet-shavers out there. Really wow!

Mohammad is it correct that the Chypre Vert hasn't started to ship yet?
One more thing the pre-shave starts Friday?

Unfortunately, Chypre Vert will not ship until Saturday. I checked on the jars, they still need few more days of curing. I'll send out a newsletter message in a couple of hours letting everyone know. The preshave and the serum will be delayed to next week.

Thanks.  I (we) know you're busy and perhaps even still mending.  The information is appreciated.

Taking a break from packing Smile

There are many new wetshavers this time around to Grooming Dept soaps. I thought I should say something about the soaps. Please help spread this info to other forums Smile Thank you.

  • Please don't bloom the soaps.

  • I suggest lathering off the jar for maximum surface area.

  • The soaps like lots of water, more water than most soaps. Please try to bring the lather to a breaking point so you can find out based on your water what the optimal ratio is.

  • When finished shaving, place the remaining lather from the brush and/or a lathering vessel and place it on one's face while cleaning up.

  • After washing the lather, I suggest not using any type of clothes or towels to dry one's face. If you can, let the water dry on it's own. The humectant ingredients I use like to trap water (moisture) within the epidermis.

  • Let the soaps air out for 24-48 hours. The scents are resilient and won't fade out.

  • Use the soap on many consecutive days to notice a very nice accumulative effect from the ingredients Smile

What’s “3017”?

When you use a soap from start to finish. The original thread (elsewhere) was mistakenly titled. The OP meant 2017 but 3017 stuck.

I did 3017 a jar of Wonderland last Spring and reaped the benefits in Mohammad’s last bullet point. Great skincare.

Mohammad, thank you for the advice on how to use the soaps for new users like myself. Also, please let us know when the release date would be for the pre-shave and serum once you set a date. I hope it won't be long though!

Quite the Mail Call today, Thank You GroomingDept! All four of these Soap Scents are new to me, as well as the Soap Base used in “Island in the Sun”. All of the Grooming Dept Soaps I have smelled in the past have been well done, but some have definitely been more to my liking than others. For example, I’ve had “After The Fire” in the past, and although I enjoyed the Barbershop side of the scent, I’m personally not big on smoke. Before The Fire is just what I was hoping for, a straight up Barbershop type Scent. All four of these Soaps off the Puck smell outstanding to my nose, and I know they’re only going to get better once lathered! I have a feeling that Mohammad’s regular offerings- Tao, Before The Fire, and Incense & Rose are going to be VERY popular. All three scents are very well done to my nose, and I already know the performance is Top Tier. If I can control myself, I’m going to wait for the matching Aftershaves that  Sean @ Maol Groomings making to go along with Island in the Sun. I get a beautiful Mint note off of this one, I can’t wait!

Edit- I forgot to add that the new side labels are a great touch. This is going to make it easy to find the Soap I’m looking for when they’re stacked up in my Den.
