Now that I'm classified as a merchant, I guess it's OK to answer your question (Admin, please remove this post if it's inappropriate!)

Basically, I'm a professional woodturner who creates custom and semi-custom shaving brushes.  I opened my woodturning business in 2009 creating bowls, urns, salt & pepper mills, and coffee grinders for sale at high-end artisan shows.  I also spent a few years demonstrating woodturning around the country, holding master classes and teaching one-on-one in my studio.  Some of my work also appeared in fine art galleries.

In 2013, I branched out into shaving brushes, razor handles and shaving bowls.  Since that time, the demand for shaving brushes has become all consuming; so having time to create bowls ar any of my previous work has become an "in my dreams" fantasy.

Anyway, the brush handles are all inspired by classic designs, which I create one at a time on a manual lathe in my basement shop using commercially cast domestic and imported resins.  (I do formulate and cast my own butterscotch, but that's as far as in-house casting goes.  Again, time limitations....)  I also used to create wooden handles, but finding suitable wood that's been properly dried has, frankly, become a real challenge; so wooden handles are pretty much things of the past as well.

Knots are all Finest, Silvertip and Manchurian badger hand-tied to my specs by two small Chinese shops.  These shops were found after a lot of searching--and spending a ton of money on samples!  We settled on these knots after rigorous testing both in-house and then by a panel of several men well-known to the wet shaving community.  The "winning" knots were unanimously rated as being among the best in the world.  (Our 3-band Manchurians, for example, are called "game-changers" by one of the testers.)  And because I have an import/export license from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife service, I have the ability to legally import knots and export finished brushes internationally.

Recently, I've begun imprinting my company logo on the ferrules or bases of my brushes (location depending on style.)  Imprinting extends the lead time by a few days, simply because the process only makes sense when I have a number of brushes to imprint.

If you would like to see more, please check out our website.

If you have any general questions about the quality of these brushes, I invite you to post questions on any of the shaving forums, Facebook pages, etc.  I'm also very happy to answer any specific questions you might have.

The bottom line is simple:  I consider it a privilege to be of service!
