Between edge and gillette, who makes better quality gels?

When Edge came out in the 1970s it was immensely popular and considered innovative. Now I suspect that Gillette has caught up and there's probably no difference. Edge is an excellent canned shaving cream. I haven't tried Gillette's gel, but I recently used Edge when I was traveling and found it worked great.
