GD Veritas Soap Sample PIF....... With a catch.

For those that know and those that don’t, the release of Grooming Dept’s Veritas soap had a hiccup a couple of weeks ago. Not going to go in a long explanation of why and how it happened, that’s not necessary. The situation was quickly and promptly remedied by Mohammad by offering a replacement for all that wanted to replace their soap. The original Veritas soap still had not properly cured and was more in a liquid/cream type state. No biggie. As I was waiting for my replacement tub, I decided to give the soap some time to cure and dry up a bit and it did quite a bit. Still, it is a very heavy cream like consistency and is perfect for those who like to use a cream soap every now and then. I’ve decided to take that cream and try to get as many sample tubs filled and PIF them to those that did not get a chance to purchase the Veritas release or have never tried a Grooming Dept soap product. The soap was never used or a brush taken to it. I actually used some of the residual soap that dried on the top cover of the tub to test it. It performed amazingly well. Like I stated, the soap has never been touched or altered. Just was opened to let it air dry as much as possible. Couple of pics below will give you an idea of the final consistency that I got to.

Unfortunately, during the drying process, quite a bit of product evaporated and what was left was practically less than half of the tub. I was only able to get 7 sample jars with 4 scoops each filled. So, only 7 members will have a chance at receiving these. Wish I could have gotten more but, it is what it is. This will be first come, first served basis. All sample tubs where cleaned via ultrasonic method then given a bath in isopropyl alcohol to sanitize and displace water.

The only thing I ask is just this. Post at least one shave report with the sample that you receive right here in this thread. Just a brief description of your experience with this particular sample on your shave. Real simple stuff. Whatever you want to include in your report is fine by me. But, you have to give at least one shave write up. I think that’s pretty easy......

There’s enough soap in each sample to get at least 3 solid shaves. Some might get a bit more. I didn’t weigh any of the sample tubs, I just eyeballed it and went from there.

Then pm me your shipping address and I will mail all samples out this Saturday, the 9th. I’ll cover postage and handling. Sadly, I will only ship within the Continental US. It’s just too cost prohibitive to send internationally to Europe & Canada. My apologies.

Awesome idea. I so want to try this soap, but live north of the imaginary border so I'm out. I already know it's fantastic stuff though. Enjoy fellas!
