This came in today. A couple more soaps from Shannon’s plus an aftershave to match with the Barbershop scented soap. Copaiba Rose is the other.

Showered up a little while ago and got down to business. And guess what, Gents? No surprises except an exceptional lather that was rich, creamy and just plain fantastic. I work my lathers to be wet but, to maintain a yogurt like consistency that still provides protection, cushion, glide and excellent residual slickness. Shannon’s did not disappoint in either category......

Post shave feel and finish is up there with some of the best. I actually think that it performed better than the other 2 that I have. Just an excellent performer and value. Amazing stuff.

You get a nice semi sweet, with a bergamot and citrus type scent once you open the jar. Once you start building and applying the lather it opens up to a bit more herbal, earthy almost balsamic note while still holding on to that light sweetness and citrus accord. Blends in nicely.

One thing I forgot to mention is that it's a very thirsty soap. You gradually add water until you get the consistency that you're looking for. It takes a minute or two but, definitely worth the extra time.

Shannon's has been flying under the radar far too long. This artisan soap maker can hang with anyone when it comes to overall quality, performance and price...

I'm in total agreement with you. Shannon's should be up there in the "top tier" discussion. It's one of my favorites for sure. Let me know your impressions on the scent of Copaiba Rose. I'm very interested in that one.

I have the Copaiba Rose and find it to be quite a nice scent. The copaiba oil really integrates well with the rose scent. My top two rose soaps are Eufros Rosa Bourbon and MdC Rose, but the Copaiba Rose is in the discussion in the next group after those two.

I read the ingredients and it says great quality! I checked the prices and it says very reasonable! I like what I am seeing & hearing and will definitely give it a try. Thanks for the nice review & pics. Seems like Shannons is a great soap maker and deserves some more recognition!

Happy Shaving!

Shannon's is absolutely in my top 3 soaps. It's curious, and a little disheartening, that it isn't mentioned more often on the forums.

not sure if Shannon's still makes soaps & aftershaves for timeless razors, but they sent over a tub of etherea soap and a bottle of the matching aftershave that smelled amazing for the 2017 DFS Momvember drive.

edit: yep, they do - https://timelessrazor.com/products/soap2...nons-soaps

Had my first shave with Shannon’s Copaiba Rose scented soap and the Karve. Just a brutally excellent combination.

Refreshing and relaxing. There’s nothing else to say except that I expect nothing less than a great BBS shave from the Karve. Practically shaves on autopilot. It has the weight, balance and geometry. All it needs is someone with sound technique (not perfect, the razor will complete the user) and get ready for some great, close and comfortable shaves. The Shannon’s Copaiba soap was just stellar. A lightly scented rose that is delicate yet substantial with a bit of jasmine that pairs nicely. Once I started loading the brush and building my lather, I caught very nice whiffs of Sandalwood as it was just blended perfectly giving it the right amount of a masculine scent tone without overpowering the Rose & jasmine scent notes. Very nicely done as the lather was rich, silky and smooth. The performance was as expected, superb as it left my face moisturized and hydrated. A good shave indeed. Have a great evening and great shaves Gents.....

I’m going to have to try her “Barbershop” Soap/Splash. I’ve heard of Shannon’s for a long time, but have never given it a shot. Those lather shots though, looks like one worth giving a chance.
